About The Artist
Cassidy Stephens is an Arizona-based artist working in contemporary realism with an illustrative sensibility, creating work that explores the emotional bond between people and animals.
With a lifelong background in horsemanship and a deep connection to the natural world, her art is shaped as much by lived experience as it is by formal training. Raised in the presence of animals, she developed an early sensitivity to their quiet intelligence; the way they observe, feel, and remember. That awareness continues to guide her work today.
She studied art and photography at San Diego State University and began her career in commercial photography, where she refined her understanding of light, composition, and visual narrative. Her transition into fine art allowed for a more personal and expressive approach, where storytelling became central to her work.
Cassidy creates original paintings and fine art prints that resonate with collectors seeking both emotional depth and a refined aesthetic. Her work invites a sense of stillness, offering moments of connection, reflection, and quiet beauty within a space.
Over the past seven years, she has studied with the Art Business Academy, founded by Jason Horejs of Xanadu Gallery and RedDotBlog, where she developed a deeper understanding of the art market, collector relationships, and sustaining a creative practice.
Cassidy has also studied portrait painting with Daria Callie, and formal training through the Evolve Artist program with Kevin Murphy, further refining her understanding of realism, color harmony, and the subtle language of form.
